"Truck Drivin' Psycho" is the one and only full-length musical venture from Jim Goad, publisher of the notorious underground 'zine, ANSWER Me! and author of the critically-acclaimed books, The Redneck Manifesto (Simon & Schuster, 1997), and Shit Magnet (Feral House, 2002). Here Goad performs fourteen toe-tappin' country-style trucker songs with The Horny Lumberjacks (featuring Phil Irwin of Rancid Vat and Mike Schuppe of Conqueror Worm), on a disc complete with cover art by Jim Blanchard and liner-notes by Dickie Joe Reed. This CD includes such timeless hits as "Thunder On The Road!", "A Tombstone Every Mile" and "Poor White Trash."

Jim Goad first gained notoriety in the early 1990s, as the editor and chief writer of the infamous ANSWER Me! magazine; one of the few 'zines of the 1990s to outlast the "zine craze" of the time and see republication in book form. Following the success of ANSWER Me!, Goad released his critically-acclaimed first book, The Redneck Manifesto, which was followed by his vitriolic autobiography, Shit Magnet, and then an editorship at Exotic Magazine. Amid all his assorted publishing and literary ventures, Goad has also kept busy as a radio talk-show host, an actor, a public speaker, a Country & Western DJ, and a member of UNPOP Art Movement. In 2004, Jim put-out a CD of prank phone calls titled "The Sweet Gene Calls," and released his first comic book with artist Jim Blanchard, titled Trucker Fags In Denial (Fantargraphics Books). Goad's soon-to-be-published opus, Jim Goad's Gigantic Book of Sex, is an expansive collection of his post-Answer Me! sex-related writings, and should be available in the coming year.

Jim Goad contributes regularly to both VICE and Bizarre magazine, and has recently moved to rural Pennsylvania to begin researching and writing his latest book, an exposй on the seedy underbelly of that most intrinsically working-class of American sports, NASCAR.
